What can I submit?
We are currently open to submissions for The Friday Feature only, which highlights individual pieces and writers. We are not accepting full manuscripts, chapbooks, or book proposals at this time.
If you are interested in future chapbook or other publications, we encourage you to follow announcements on our site and social channels.
How many pieces can I submit for The Friday Feature?
For consideration, you may submit:
- 1-3 poems, or
- a single prose piece up to 1,000 words, or
- one hybrid/fragment piece that fits within the word limit.
Do you charge submission fees?
No. We never charge submission fees for The Friday Feature.
How long does it take to hear back?
We review submissions regularly. You can expect a response within 3-6 weeks. Due to the volume and the nature of our review process, we are unable to provide individual feedback for every submission.
Do you consider previously published work?
We consider work that has appeared on personal blogs or social media. We do not accept work previously published in journals, magazines, or books. as we aim to preserve clarity around first publication and long-term archiving. If you're unsure about a specific case, you're welcome to ask.
Do you accept chapbook submissions?
Chapbook manuscripts are not currently open for general submission. In the future, chapbook opportunities may be announced through our website and social channels. These will be selective and separate from The Friday Feature submissions.
Will I receive editorial notes?
We are not able to provide editorial feedback on most submissions. Occasionally, we may offer a brief comment, but this is not guaranteed.
How does anthology consideration work?
Featured writers may be contacted for optional participation in future collections. Inclusion is never automatic and always requires contributor consent.
Do contributors retain rights to their work?
Yes. Contributors retain full rights. By submitting you grant us permission to publish your work as part of The Friday Feature and share excerpts for promotional purposes only. Any use beyond that will be discussed with you in advance.
