What can I submit?
We read poetry, short prose, hybrid pieces, and fragments.
Friday Feature submissions are open year-round.
Chapbook manuscripts are reviewed during seasonal open calls.
How many pieces can I send?
For Friday Feature or general submissions, you can send:
- 1-3 poems, or
- up to 1,000 words of prose, or
- a single hybrid/fragment piece.
Do you charge submission fees?
No. We never charge submission fees.
How long does it take to hear back?
We review submissions weekly.
Response times typically range from 1-3 weeks.
Do you accept previously published work?
We consider work that has appeared on personal blogs or social accounts, but not work published in journals, magazines, or books.
If unsure, you can ask — we're approachable.
What do you look for?

We respond to most work that feels lived-in and honest.
What are your chapbook guidelines?
Chapbooks are reviewed only during seasonal open calls.
Calls are announced on our website and social media.
We typically read:
- up to 60 pages for chapbooks
- 60-120 pages for long-form manuscripts (case-by-case)
PDF or Word files are both fine.
A simple cover letter or artist note is welcome but optional.
Can I submit to Friday Feature and also send a manuscript?
Yes. They are reviewed separately.
Will I receive editorial notes?
We aren't able to provide notes on all submissions, but occasionally we offer a brief comment if something resonates with us deeply.
